AND US SABOTAGING ERITREA'S EFFORT TO ECONOMIC EMANCIPATION

In his speech, he made references to the evidences fabricated by the UN Monitoring Unit that was established by the disgraced Bush Administration and Engineered by a failed Diplomat, Dr Jendayie Frazer who on several occasions was exposed as avowed enemy of Eritrea. First and foremost, these so called evidences have neither been independently verified nor presented to the international community for reasons that have not be disclosed, however; some of the accusations include but are not limited to the allegations that Eritrea had 2000 soldiers in Somalia supporting the opponents of the Transitional Federal Government. These allegations were proved to be fabricated beyond any doubt. This is a classic example of ''when you tell a lie tell a big lie'' and very similar to the Weapons of Mass Distraction (WMD) fiasco, that Iraq had WMD and had the capability of attacking Britain within 45 minutes. Who in his/her right mind would believe such stories? We all know the
real reason why US and UK attacked Iraq. It is not to destroy this mysterious
WMD that suddenly evaporated into thin air. In my opinion it is simple and crystal clear. Eritrea is a good BAD example to African countries as well as to other third world countries in other continents that are plagued by poverty, diseases, ignorance and corruption in spite of their rich natural resources. These countries are desperately seeking alternative economic, social and political policies because those prescribed by US and UK have miserably failed and they are closely watching Eritrea. Against all the odds, Eritrea achieved its independence after a protracted 30 years armed struggle defeating the biggest army in Africa without the support of the superpowers and other countries. After independence, Eritrea asserted its pragmatic political, economic and social policies and steadily began to develop with impressive records until this trend was suddenly sabotaged in 1998 when Ethiopia declared war on Eritrea under the pretext of a border dispute. This war was yet another sabotage that was definitely not engineered by the regime in Ethiopia. Repeated efforts to foil Eritrea's independence both politically and economically failed miserably and humiliated those who engineered and plotted these conspiracies. In the present international economic uncertainties, recession and credit crunch, for the UK Ambassador to the UN John Sawers to renew calls initially made by the disgraced Bush Administration for sanctions to be applied against Eritrea is unacceptable and its only desire is to sabotage the efforts of the Eritrean people's to economic emancipation. They want to force the Eritrean government to abide by their rules as well as be intimidated by the carrot and stick approach which the Obama Administration is keen to employ as an effective methodology in dealing with its foreign policy challenges. At present, Eritrea
is at a very crucial juncture in its history when against all the odds
and since the conflict with Ethiopia began in 1998 continued to exist
as an independent country both economically and politically and is on
the verge of economic emancipation. Some economically influential countries as well as Multinational organisations have defied the advice given by US and UK governments not to engage with Eritrea for allegedly non existent security reasons. However, these organisations have after careful consideration and professional assessment of the realities on the ground decided to invest in Eritrea in partnership with the Eritrean government and in defiance to the inaccurate diplomatic advice. In a matter of months both these organisations and the Eritrean people will become the beneficiaries of the abundant natural resources in Eritrea and for the first time in the history of Africa, poverty will be made history in Eritrea. US and UK are desperately seeking to sabotage the making of history in Africa, where for the first time in the history of this continent, there is a country that is economically and politically independent, free from corruption, no ethnic and religious conflict despite the fact that the population is 50% Christians and 50% Muslims. Furthermore Eritrea has a clear vision and pragmatic short and long term programmes that wholly rely on its human resources. Finally but more importantly Eritrea passionately believes and practises principles of self reliance. In the very near future, African countries and those in other continents will realise that they too can achieve what Eritrea has in a short space of time so watch the space .. For the benefit of those who are not well informed about Eritrea's history, let me briefly refer to the historical facts, conspiracies, plots and intrigues masterminded by US and UK and the subsequent political and security implications in Eritrea since the1950s. .When
the case of Eritrea and other ex-Italy colonies in Africa (Somalia and
Libya) was presented to the UN in early1950s, US and UK abused their
veto power in the UN to deny the Eritrean people their fundamental right
to self determination and independence.
