UK-YPFDJ held a meeting for sharing experiences and reflections
UK-YPFDJ held a meeting for sharing experiences and reflections on the 3rd YPFDJ Conference on the 29th oF April 2007. The Eritrean Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, HE Negasi, Consulate General Mr. Salah and Ms. Jema Omer, Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women-UK were present at the meeting.
The participants expressed the conference as educational, enjoyable, and enlightening experience and articulated their commitment and desire to contribute on concrete projects for the well being of their people and development of the country.
In his opening talk, Mr Negasi shared his experience in the struggle for Eritrean independence. He took the participants of the meeting back to several years ago, when he was 21 years old, studying for higher education in Russia and taking part in youth movement. He talked about the youth making a pact to join the struggle upon finishing their education. He also detailed the significance of tremendous dedication and sacrifice that was made by the youth. Mr. Salah on his part talked about the opportunities young people have and the importance of organization. He also reminded all the youth to use the opportunity to join YPFDJ and make a difference.
The meeting was concluded with the handing out of certificates of participation by Ambassador Negasi.
